Viscotaq® ViscoWrap is a non shielding coating in a wrap form that can be applied without primers, forming a homologue layer after application.  It does not show sliding, dripping or thickness changes since it is a solid with a true melting point (around 150 C).  Applications include:

  • Soil to air transitions
  • Encapsulations of asbestos pipe, lead base paints etc,
  • Tank Chimes
  • Flange and Valve protection

Directions for Use 

Surface must be clean, dry and free from dust/dirt and loose particles. Minimum sp 2 cleaning. Apply inner wrap with 10% overlap, min 0.5 inch by wrapping with some tension. Use a holiday detector (15 kV) to ensure the system is free from any voids. Apply outer wrap before backfill.
