Stop It® Pipe Repair System
Get back to production in minutes.
A leaking pipe can shut down production for hours, costing you valuable lost production. STOP IT® can have you back up and running in about 30 minutes. The STOP IT® Pipe Repair System fixes cracks and leaks in carbon steel, stainless, aluminum, copper, galvanized, PVC, CPVC, PVDF, polyethylene, polypropylene, fiberglass, and other pipes so you don’t have to face the consequences of a shutdown until the pipe is replaced.
STOP IT® can be used almost anywhere – including underwater and in chemical and military facilities – to repair chemical, steam, process and water lines. It’s an in-field repair system that can be quickly applied by one person, leaving other maintenance staff free to deal with other concerns.
- The STOP IT® Pipe Repair System consists of a knitted, fiberglass tape coated with special urethane resins that are water-activated to change from a wet adhesive tape to a hard urethane plastic in 30 minutes. No tools and no hot work needed to get your plant back to full capacity quickly.
- Each kit includes a plug of Fix Stix epoxy to plug leaks or cracks or to provide a smooth transition at offsets.
- Bonds through adhesion and the mechanical bond resulting from the tension of the wrap.
- While STOP IT® can be used on straight runs of pipe, its conformability makes it especially useful for repairing leaks at bends, crosses, tees, or any other location.

The Stop It® Pipe Repair System has been subjected to intensive testing and complies with US DOT 49CFR parts 192 and 195, and ASME PCC-2 article 4.1.
Generally, Stop It® may be used with products that are compatible with polyurethane plastic. The end user must always determine the suitability of the product for its intended use and recognize that the durability of the repair may be affected by strong acids or bases.
No visible changes in Stop It® after an immersion term of 35 days in the following chemicals:
Acetic Anhydride Ammonia
Ammonium Hydroxide (10%)
Decyl Ammonium Chloride
Hydrochloric Acid (10%)
Sodium Hydroxide (50%)
Sulfuric Acid (10%)
Sulfuric Acid (25%)
Xylenes, Mixed o-, m- and p
The Fix Stix™ Epoxy included with each kit is certified to NSF/ANSI 61 for Drinking Water.
Even under extreme pressures, the Stop It® Pipe Repair Tape will not shatter or crack. Stop It® releases pressures slowly.
When tested to the failing point in laboratory conditions, failure was indicated by a reduction in line pressure and seepage.
