The Engineering Internship position will assist the Product Engineer and Chief Technology Director in the fabrication and testing of advanced composites and will explore materials structure-property relationships in developing new products. Exemplary duties will entail:

- Conduct product development through sample fabrication and materials screening tests
- Construct laboratory samples of composite products for testing and evaluation according to engineering standards

Job Description
The Production Lead/Supervisor will be responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, supervision, and cleaning of assigned packaging machines. The Production Lead/Supervisor will also be responsible for inspecting products produced to specifications and adjusting equipment to maintain quality specifications.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Operate and monitor multiple semi-automated production/packaging systems to ensure quality production with minimal unplanned stops.
- Utilize electronic controls to set up and run daily production to specification.
- Manage inventory of raw material and product to meet production needs. Rotate stock as required.
- Lead and supervise production team and perform evaluations as necessary.
- Maintain all equipment in safe and good operating status.
- Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
- Perform and coordinate cleaning and equipment turn around to meet production schedule.
- Work to ensure that production goals are met, addressing efficiency, hours, and safety.
- Maintain a neat and orderly working environment.
- Complete production reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience with production/packaging or technical assembly processes required.
- Prior experience in a production lead or supervisory role desired.
- Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment, follow standardized work protocols and adhere to safe work practices.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Prior experience with handling of liquids, resins, or solvents desired.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance required. Experience with filling, valves, pumps, and pneumatics desired.
- Ability to read schematics and manuals.
- Physical stamina and strength. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and team lift 75 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Prior experience with forklift operation desired.
- Ability to work independently.
